Park on street. Consider parking closer to L Street Bathhouse.

8:30 am

Leave Boston Harbor Yacht Club

Leave at least 60 minutes before the start, earlier if there's an on-shore wind or if visibility is limited.

9:15 am

Boats arrive at Little Brewster Island

Trip takes ~45 minutes by boat.

9:25 am

Five-minute warning horn, 2 short blasts

9:30 am

Race start, 1 long horn blast

start+45 to 60 min

Swimmers pass Rainsford Island

start+1:30 to 2:15 hrs

Swimmers pass under Long Island bridge

Last year's lead swimmer was at bridge ~2:00 hrs after start.

start+3 to 5 hrs

Swimmers finish at L Street Beach (west of Boston Harbor Yacht Club)

Head toward bright handball courts.  Watch for finish-line banner.

2:30pm

End of race. Any swimmers still in the water must exit water and motor to finish area.

Five hours is maximum swim duration. This is a safety requirement.
